The Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading (GSET) team serves clients globally, providing electronic trading products, liquidity access, service and execution consulting. The GSET Product team is responsible for managing the full suite of electronic trading products, including algorithms, smart order routing, crossing and internalization. The Lead Product Manager is the subject matter expert on their lead product and competitive positioning, and responsible for rallying cross functional resources to be top tier in that product.


  • Responsibilities
    • Subject matter expert on their lead product, market structure and competitive landscape.
    • Own and drive the product roadmap. Work closely with engineering, research strats, distribution, compliance, legal and operations teams throughout each phase of the product delivery process.
    • Provide transparency to the broader organization about product priorities and conflicts.
    • Understand and decompose the client problem into key questions and user stories. Convert these into product requirements and functional specifications.
    • Engage clients on solutions and express product concepts to users of varying levels of sophistication.
    • Execute the "go to market" strategy for each product, including coordination of marketing, training and sales campaigns.
    • Responsible for tracking business and product performance metrics, including usage, penetration, rank and execution performance.
    • Responsible for continuous product observation, iteration, experimentation, relying on trading records and execution data to identify areas of improvement.
    • 3+ years of experience with equities and/or electronic trading.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven problem solving ability with critical and creative thinking.
    • Highly proficient working with technology, tools and large data sets.
    • Strong work ethic and proactive working style.
    • Capacity to learn quickly.
