Senior Principal Information Security Analyst- Cyber Control Data Analytic Lead

Sr. Principal Information Security Analyst->> Provides expertise to the global information security program and provides support for complex components of the company's information security infrastructure. Serves as subject matter expert and leads the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms in diverse system environments. Consults with high level business and operational infrastructure personnel regarding new and existing technologies. Recommends new security tools to management and reports and provides guidance and expertise in their implementation. Reviews and analyzes highly complex data and information leads process of developing reports to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations. Defines, implements, and applies area-wide security and/or COB policies and standards by leveraging expert knowledge of globally accepted information security and/or COB principles. Addresses high risk security concerns or incidents. Recommends course of action to mitigate risk and leads process to establish appropriate standards. Contributes to the achievement of Information Security objectives.

The Bank has established baseline standard for controls, including resolution of security vulnerabilities, which serve to minimize residual cyber risk. Utilizing a risk prioritized approach based upon industry standards (NIST Domains; Identify, Detect, Protect, Respond, and Recover,) the CCM team provides a cohesive global process for notification, awareness, problem resolution, and mitigation of cybersecurity control breaks and vulnerabilities. Leveraging a framework built upon the principles of Incident and Problem Management, the Head of CCM helps BNYM in maintaining normal service availability and prevention of system/data corruption and/or compromise while proactively reducing the residual risk and technical debt of control breaks.

Requirements: - Relentless in the pursuit of continuous cyber hygiene, control completeness, and effectiveness. - Proven experience in working with cross functional teams, globally, to engage with business and technology asset owners to operate "drive to zero" risk remediation exercises - Experience in harmonizing cyber security problem management response processes with operational and technology incidents to ensure timely and efficient review of risk and mitigation actions - Strong practicing knowledge of risk and control frameworks, lines-of-defense models, and ability to validate mitigation and compensating control validity - Experience running enterprise-wide bottom-up and top-down management control advisory readouts, driving positive improvements and accountability through governance and reporting - Data lead individual that can collate automated and self-identified risk findings into a normalized cyber control break register, aligned to enterprise asset hierarchy of ownership, risk prioritization, and scorecard based risk and performance indicator reporting - Strong experience with business intelligence data analysis and reporting platforms (Power BI, Business Objects, Qlik, Tableau, Excel/Powerpoint, etc.)

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred, 12+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
