The QA Senior Associate will be responsible for the Quality Assurance (QA) of Application design, as well as the development of complex applications using standard QA tools and methodologies. S/he will be responsible for quality advocacy, planning, implementation, testing and validation, and quality reporting across multiple large-scale design and development projects.


  • Accountable for the overall quality of projects in which s/he participates
  • Ability to lead all QA activities on a project and serve as the QA Project Manager
  • Participate actively in the design and build phases of a given project and deliver high quality QA deliverables
  • Define the project/program QA strategy and execute the plan from start to finish
  • Provide project and/or release estimates for QA efforts and QA resource requirements
  • Manage and create test plans, execute test cases for system maintenance/project releases
  • Report status and provide recommendations on improving QA methodology and Test environments
  • Develop metrics and keep the PMO and Senior Management aware of potential quality risks
  • Set up project specific testing environments and coordinate defect tracking, reporting and resolution
  • Perform all QA activities using appropriate test tools, common routines & best practices to promote reusability
  • Work to enhance and/or design new automation frameworks to support more efficient testing
  • Perform risk assessment and apply test strategies/techniques to reduce risk without compromising quality
  • Interactively participate in release planning, sprint kick off, sprint review and retrospectives
  • May also be responsible for small projects or initiatives as well as associated business analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • College degree and/or prior practical experience (5-7 years) in the areas of systems design/analysis, Project Management and Quality Assurance
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to be flexible, nimble, and act swiftly
  • Strong knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks
  • Experience in back-end testing and automated test tools (ex. HP Mercury Interactive suite)
  • Experience with Agile Framework
  • PM Experience and/or related certification
  • Flexibility and ability to wear multiple hats (PM, BA, QA)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Selenium WebDriver (Java and C#/ .NET Framework) experience
  • Selenium Grid experience
  • SOAPUI - Web Services Automation and Testing experience
  • HP UFT - Web Automation and Testing experience
  • Familiarity with Defect Tracking Tool (JIRA)
  • Strong skills in Database Testing and thorough knowledge in SQL/PL*SQL
  • Experience in working with various databases like Oracle and SQLSERVER
