KPMG is currently seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in Risk Strategy & Compliance - Operations & Compliance Risk for our practice.


  • Participate on large-scale banking initiatives focused on delivering operational, technical, and/or product development change, such as system and operational conversions, mergers and integrations, enhancements, process re-engineering, and new product development
  • Assist with the development of financial analysis focused on determining impact from initiatives, providing return on investment percentage, payback period, and net present value calculations based on specific user inputs and potentially multiple scenarios
  • Contribute to design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:

  • Assist partners and senior managers in the creation of proposals, business development, and practice administration
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management
  • Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management
  • Supervise and mentor associates, interns, and new hires


  • A minimum of one year of demonstrated knowledge of retail, card services, merchant processing, or commercial banking including experience in teller processing, sales and service, cash management, payment processing, credit card or merchant processing, and/or other components of large-scale banking or card initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Experience across the project lifecycle including strategy development, assisting with scope definition, business case development, vendor assessment, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, testing, training, and implementation phases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain meaningful client relationships and prior consulting experience preferred
  • Travel may be up to 80-100%
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Well-established understanding of business dynamics and operations
