Location: San Antonio (no remote work options)  Who are we? Scaleworks is a Venture Equity provider, headquartered in San Antonio, that acquires, invests in, advises, and operates B2B SaaS companies. The Scaleworks family includes: Qualaroo, Keen, Earth Class Mail, Filestack, SearchSpring, and Chargify. 

Were seeking an entry-level associate that will play a critical role as Scaleworks continues to grow beyond its first fund. In this position, you will begin by helping our companies source candidates for critical existing and emerging leadership slots.  This is an excellent way to understand more about our business needs and identify ways to advance within Scaleworks in the future. We currently have six software products in our portfolio. Why is this important? Because you will be sourcing talent for not only Scaleworks but our portfolio companies too. In addition, we are more than likely to acquire more companies for our portfolio this year. These will need various senior roles including marketing, sales, customer success, design, and engineering. You will be tasked with building a sourcing playbook and ensuring an excellent candidate experience. Success in this role will require someone who is collaborative, creative, intuitive, and resourceful. Scaleworks is seeking a player who knows how to identify gaps and can execute with little oversight. Applicants should be willing and eager to take on enormous ownership as this is an incredibly high-impact role. Responsibilities for this role:
  • Partner with hiring managers (including CEOs and General Partners in the fund) to understand their hiring needs, define role requirements, and write or proofread job descriptions as necessary
  • Source passive candidates using various methods and channels
  • Engage candidates and building strong relationships with them
  • Review candidates' profiles and resumes, including those who actively applied for our roles
  • Screen and interview candidates
  • Shepherd candidates through the recruitment process, ensure they get timely feedback at each stage, and, when applicable, transfer them to relevant team members in each product company
  • Build a brand and open up channels that will bring active applicants to Scaleworks companies
  • Activate on referrals within and outside of our company
  • Build an ongoing database of talent targets and potential future hires 
  • Manage candidates in Scaleworks' ATS
  • Develop your own sense of talent gaps and issues on teams; assist CEOs to get the right talent mix
  • Develop a sustainable candidate lead strategy and recruitment strategy based on companies' goals and needs
  • Be a spokesperson. Learn how to pitch our products and our organization.
  • Proactively suggest new channels and approaches and constantly look for areas of improvement
