Senior Splunk Developer

If you are an organized, detail-oriented, deadline driven Information Technology professional with a passion for critical, technical problem solving, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment then this role may be for you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define, maintain, and enforce best practices for the Splunk practice.
  • Help define change governance process and helping customers adhere to the governance practices; Ability to apply change management process
  • Help the Center of Excellence activities. e.g., offering brown bag sessions for user community, conduct intake requests, help with defining plans for performance management, capacity management, user administration, and object catalog
  • Produce metrics for platform performance, capacity, user management periodically
  • Develop and maintain support documentation for technical add-ons
  • Support user community with trouble shooting any issues. Help the team with analyzing, identifying, and tuning user applications/dashboards for performance
  • Act as a Subject matter expert for splunk developer community
  • Learn new technologies and tools as required
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience in IT project development with proficiency in software delivery methodology, change control; Knowledge of IT production operations is desired
  • Experience with Splunk on a large enterprise level with distributed Splunk Architecture
  • Proficient in Splunk Knowledge Objects and has developed Multiple complex Splunk Dashboards, Reports and Alerts
  • Proficient in Splunk Advanced Dashboarding skills
  • Familiar with Splunk Monitoring and deployment tools and Splunk Standards
  • Proficient in Parsing, Indexing, Searching Concepts like Hot, Warm, Cold, Frozen bucketing
  • Proficient with Splunk DBX, Service Now, and ITSI
  • Splunk certifications at least power user is required
  • Experience in design, development, integration, testing, and implementation of a large scale analytical data sets in SPLUNK
  • Practical working skillset with industry best practices
