Corporate & Funding Technology (CFT) is one of five divisions within Technology & Data. We face off to the business and support services to develop and oversee the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the enterprise. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Global Capital Markets, Operations, Finance, and Legal & Compliance. We are responsible for Pioneer and Application Infrastructure, groups that look to develop foundational strategies, tools and technologies that are leveraged across Tech & Data, as well as standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm's businesses.
Morgan Stanley is recognized as a global leader in the world's lending and borrowing markets and the Securities Lending IT team is responsible for building and maintaining systems which support the Global Stock Loan business within Morgan Stanley. Systems cover:
Pre-trade, connectivity to lenders and borrowers for availability, rates and approvals.
Trade, sourcing inventory and covering both firm and client delivery requirements as well as financing excess inventory through SL collateral.
Post-trade, managing the life cycle of deals and maintaining/upgrading the SL Book Analytics, manage risk, identify trends and meet compliance standards.
The role will primarily focus on the design and development of the new Securities Lending Trading system which is written in Java. The candidate will need to be comfortable working with developers in other regions (London, New York, Budapest and Hong Kong) and work under tight deadlines with a strong focus on delivery to the business. Ideally the candidate will also be able to understand and work on the C#/WPF UI components and make the occasional enhancement or bug fix. The candidate should be well motivated and be content to work as part of a team to produce solutions for the business and also to be able to take a project/task and see it through to completion largely unaided.

- Previous experience in Unix/Linux

- Experience in DB2
