Physical Operator - Gas & Power Trading

Responsibilities:

• Manage physical gas and power deliveries via internal systems and external vendors

• Ensure the smooth functioning of Market Operations daily business, including working in 24/7 shifts (early, evening, night, and/or weekend)

• Assist in the optimization of trading strategies

• Ensure compliance across teams of European markets terms and conditions and new regulation

• Proactively tackle and solve operational issues as experienced both internally and externally

• Support the operational set-ups of new markets for trading purposes and the acquisition of required business licenses from regulators

• Support the team with maintaining relationships with TSOs, external vendors, dispatching teams

• Continually improve processes and procedures through creating and updating process manuals

• Develop operational controls for compliance and risk management purposes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in physical natural gas and power markets and their operations

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint + advanced Excel skills • Working knowledge or training in the natural gas and power industry, specifically in the area of physical natural gas and power scheduling, nominations, confirmations, and imbalance management

• Proactive personality, result-oriented and collaborative mindset

• Worked in operational environments requiring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, effective task prioritization and delivery under time pressure

• Strategic thinker who is solution orientated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
