With an increasing focus on integrated and connected solutions, the organisation is strengthening its Adelaide product delivery capability across two specialist squads. These positions will commence as contract engagements and offer a genuine opportunity to transition into permanent employment.
Your new role
The role titles are officially called 'Squad Masters'. One position will lead an electronics device squad responsible for connected products incorporating hardware, firmware, electronics and electromechanical components. This role will carry a strong project management focus. The second position will lead a digital systems squad delivering software, applications, cloud and systems-based solutions. This role requires stronger Agile and Scrum capability alongside established project management skills.In either position, you will take ownership of a dedicated squad, an allocated budget and agreed delivery roadmap. The Electronics Device role will be more focused on Project manager activities with some scrum master components. The Digital Systems focused role will require stronger Agile and Scrum capability alongside established Project Management Skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading projects through planning, execution and delivery
• Managing project budgets, forecasts and financial reporting
• Coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams
• Monitoring milestones, risks, dependencies and delivery performance
• Presenting milestones and securing stakeholder sign-off
• Working closely with Product Owners and technical leaders
• Managing stakeholder expectations and escalating delivery issues
• Supporting structured, efficient and accountable ways of working

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will bring strong project management fundamentals and experience leading delivery within a technical environment.Depending on the position, you will ideally offer experience across one or more of the following areas:

• Electronics, embedded systems, firmware or connected devices
• Software, applications, cloud platforms or digital systems
• Engineering or product development environments
• Agile and Scrum delivery
• Jira and Confluence
• Budget ownership and financial forecasting
• Project governance, reporting and milestone management
• Multidisciplinary technical team leadership

Formal qualifications in engineering, technology, project management or a related discipline will be beneficial but are not the only consideration. The organisation is equally interested in your initiative, learning potential, passion for technology and willingness to take ownership. You must also be genuinely open AND ELIGIBLE for permanent employment following the initial contract period.
