By joining RedTree Capital as a Fund Controller, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Support the management company’s CFO on all operational matters relating to fund management;
2. Contribute to the day-to-day activities of our funds;
3. Develop an understanding of how various real estate transactions are structured.

Your Responsibilities

1. Operational fund monitoring

1. Regular monitoring of project business plans
2. Cash management for the funds and dedicated project vehicles
3. Financial reconciliation of transactions, particularly actual performance versus the business plan
4. Monitoring of asset disposals and the funds’ real estate transactions
5. Participation in the valuation process for real estate projects
6. Financial modelling and analysis of the impact of strategies on transactions
7. Updating investment monitoring schedules, portfolio composition reports and capital call records

2. Financial and accounting control

1. Review of the accounting records of the vehicles and funds
2. Calculation of net asset values (NAVs)
3. Responsibility for the accounting of the funds and subsidiaries
4. Monitoring the closing timetable with accounting firms
5. Coordination of the accounting and financial aspects of real estate transactions, including documentation, cash-flow monitoring and payment controls
6. Monitoring subscriptions and distributions
7. Internal reporting

3. Governance and external reporting

1. Managing relationships with service providers: depositaries, lawyers, statutory auditors and accounting firms
2. Preparation of half-yearly and annual reports
3. Drafting governance materials for the vehicles under management
4. Management and monitoring of external audits; acting as the main point of contact during depositary reviews
5. Reporting to the AMF, the French financial markets authority

Your Team and RedTree Capital

You will join a close-knit, experienced and committed team fully dedicated to major real estate transactions.

You will work with all functions across the management company to ensure the performance of the transactions and, ultimately, the funds.

Since its inception, RedTree Capital has invested more than one billion euros. It has invested directly, through club deals and joint ventures with leading partners, and through its funds. The first fund launched by the management company, subscribed by institutional investors and French and international family offices, exceeded its fundraising target. Its most recent transactions include landmark properties such as 15 avenue de la Grande-Armée and 33 rue du Quatre-Septembre.

Your Profile

1. You hold a higher-education qualification from a business or engineering school, a DSCG, or a master’s degree in accounting, control and audit, ideally with a specialisation in finance, accounting and/or real estate.
2. You have already gained successful initial experience in an asset management company, an audit firm and/or a similar role, ideally within a group operating in the real estate sector, through a permanent or fixed-term position, internship or apprenticeship.
3. You are proficient in Excel and familiar with valuation methodologies.
4. You are recognised for your curiosity, analytical skills, ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail.
5. You have strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact easily with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in French and English.
6. You are reliable and conscientious, without taking yourself too seriously, and your colleagues know they can depend on you.
7. You are keen to join a close-knit team and play an active part in its collective momentum, helping move matters forward alongside your colleagues.

Practical Information

1. Permanent position available as soon as possible
2. Compensation package to be determined according to the candidate’s profile: fixed salary and variable compensation
