Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily financial accounting & book closing of the group entities in the retail brokerage and wealth management business including involvement with expense analysis, account payable, intercompany revenue and fee expenses etc.
- Assist in daily and monthly FRR reporting of licensed corporations
- Prepare client money segregation
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and year-end tax filing
- Assist in year-end audit & regulatory assignment
- Prepare various reconciliation reports between external and internal parties
- Key contact point for banking transactions
- Provide assistance in special projects and provide on-going improvements to the finance operation to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist in automation of manual process
Requirements
- University graduate with at least 2-3 years of finance and accounting experience in the financial services industry
- Experience on retail broking & margin financing, and knowledge on futures & derivatives OR Big 4 professional firms experience is an advantage
- Proficiency in use of computer. Especially excellent MS-Excel skills is a must, experience in MS-PowerPoint and SAP is an advantage
- Strong team-player with good interpersonal skills
- Keen on personal development with long term commitment to the company
- Good communication skills – both written and oral with ability to communicate to both finance and non-finance teams
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
