• Serve as the primary product champion and business representative for all AML and financial crime technology suites, encompassing transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and investigative case management workflows.

• Continuously evaluate and refine AML system parameters, rule logic, alert thresholds, and operational pathways to ensure peak efficiency.

• Perform routine health checks on AML detection engines, calibrating algorithms and investigating false-positive trends to boost precision while keeping operational backlogs in check.

• Oversee all technical governance and audit trails, ensuring complete and accurate records for system mappings, logic adjustments, data lineage, and validation protocols.

• Champion platform reliability and data integrity by partnering closely with technology teams to troubleshoot outages, rectify data anomalies, and ensure seamless batch and live processing for all AML systems.

• Lead end-to-end project life cycles for technology upgrades, AI integration, and regulatory adaptations-guiding the process from initial scoping and vendor appraisal to rigorous testing (UAT) and successful deployment.

• Collaborate with third-party experts to deploy advanced RegTech and machine learning tools aimed at streamlining alert triage and name-screening matching, whilst measuring post-implementation ROI.

• Identify and propose strategic automation opportunities that minimise human intervention and mitigate processing vulnerabilities within the AML framework.

skills & experience required.

• Tertiary education in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 6 to 8 years of dedicated experience within AML compliance technology or financial crime operations.

• At least 3 years of experience operating in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

• Demonstrated success in steering AML-focused technology implementations within the banking sector.

• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving capabilities, adept at deciphering intricate regulatory tech challenges while managing multiple parallel projects.

• Hands-on expertise with industry-standard AML software and compliance platforms (familiarity with SAS architecture is a distinct asset).

• Complete fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) is required.

• Possession of industry-recognised certifications in Anti-Money Laundering (e.g., CAMS) is highly advantageous.
