We are seeking an experienced Vice President, IT Operations Manager to lead our technology infrastructure, system reliability, and IT service delivery. Prior experience working within an Asset Management firm (or Buy-Side Financial Institution) is strictly required. In this role, you will leverage your deep industry domain knowledge to maintain seamless operational stability across our investment management platforms, manage core IT infrastructure and cloud environments, oversee cybersecurity protocols, and lead a high-performing IT operations build out.

1. Asset Management IT Operations: Oversee daily IT operations, network reliability, hardware/software infrastructure, ensuring high availability for business-critical buy-side trading and accounting workflows.
2. Investment Applications Support: Manage and support specialized buy-side platforms, including Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), portfolio accounting software, and market data feeds.
3. Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance: Implement and monitor IT security protocols, user access controls, and data protection policies in full alignment with buy-side financial regulatory standards.
4. Service Delivery & Incident Management: Act as the senior escalation point for operational tech issues, manage vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and drive swift incident resolution with zero disruption to daily trading and portfolio management activities.
5. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Maintain and test BCP/DR plans tailored to the strict operational resilience requirements of asset management operations.
6. Team Leadership & Vendor Oversight: Direct and mentor IT support engineers, oversee third-party financial technology vendors, and manage IT asset licensing.

1. Mandatory Industry Experience: Must have 4–7+ years of direct IT operations experience within an Asset Management firm, Hedge Fund, or Private Equity firm. (Candidates without buy-side financial services background will not be considered.)
2. Leadership Experience: At least 2+ years in a team lead or managerial capacity within an asset management IT environment.
3. Buy-Side Domain Expertise: Deep hands-on familiarity with asset management workflows, trade lifecycles, core investment software (OMS/EMS/Portfolio Accounting), and financial market data infrastructure.
4. Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in enterprise infrastructure, active directory/identity management, cloud computing, network security, and database administration in a regulated financial environment.
5. Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing critical technical incidents calmly, setting priorities, and communicating clearly with C-suite executives and portfolio managers.
6. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (certifications like ITIL, CISSP, or AWS/Azure Administrator are a plus).
