Job Purpose

• Legal supports the Business to move forward by providing legal advice and solutions based on the deep understanding of the Business, industry and the related laws&regulations, and the strong relationship with Business.

Job Responsibilities

 Provide legal advice on/related insurance transactions

 Draft and review legal documentation such as general commercial contracts, agent contracts and outsourcing contracts

 Work closely with various business sections and other functions, providing advice on changes to law and regulatory trends

 Provide support and legal training to colleague

 Proactively detect legal issues, conduct legal research and provide solutions

 Manage external legal advisors

Required Skills and Experiences

Educational Qualification

• No requirements

Specific Qualifications

• Qualified to practice law in Japan, or in other major common law jurisdictions
• Certain knowledge of the insurance industry (preferable)
• Business level of English (TOEIC 800 or above) and Japanese

Total Experience

• 5+ years of experience as the qualified lawyer
• Experience in the insurance business (preferable)
