Cybersecurity Customer Success Manager, Tokyo

Join the cybersecurity division of one of Japan's leading global technology and e-commerce companies as a Customer Success Manager.

In this highly visible role, you will help internal business stakeholders maximize the value of enterprise cybersecurity products and services while supporting business objectives across multiple business units.

Working at the intersection of technology and business, you will build trusted relationships, drive cybersecurity adoption, and influence strategic decision-making in a Japanese-English bilingual environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business and IT stakeholders while gaining a deep understanding of their business goals and technology landscape.
  • Proactively engage with internal customers to provide guidance and help them achieve business and technical objectives efficiently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, delivering accurate and timely information.
  • Promote the organization's cybersecurity service portfolio and identify opportunities to increase service adoption across internal business units.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to measure service quality and recommend improvements to customers' cybersecurity transformation strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional cybersecurity teams to resolve technical and functional issues while ensuring excellent customer experience.
  • Track service adoption, usage trends, and implementation progress, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical changes, security updates, maintenance activities, and service interruptions while advising customers on appropriate actions.
  • Escalate critical technical issues to management and executive leadership when necessary.
  • Prepare executive-level reports that translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Deliver demonstrations of new cybersecurity capabilities and promote underutilized services across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share best practices and contribute to enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Technology Consulting, Customer Success, Solution Architecture, or Presales Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience implementing enterprise cybersecurity products and services.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deep understanding of cyberattack methodologies, including threat actors, malware behavior, persistence techniques, and lateral movement.
  • Experience working within large, complex enterprise organizations.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale technology implementations in complex solution environments.
  • Experience developing or managing service charging or cost allocation models.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language and align business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Experience supporting marketing activities or promoting enterprise technology services.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence audiences from technical teams to C-level executives.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and perform effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborative mindset with outstanding relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Language Requirements:
  • Japanese: Fluent business level (JLPT N2 or above).
  • English: Business level (approximately TOEIC 800+ or equivalent).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Master's degree or MBA in Cybersecurity, Presales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience in Enterprise Architecture, Cross-Architecture, or software development.
  • Background in sales or presales.
  • Experience leading technical or product management for enterprise custom application development.
  • Broad knowledge of databases, networking, cloud computing, and enterprise applications.
  • Understanding of Application Security and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
