THE WORK:

• Design target-state AWS architectures and landing zones, covering networking, IAM, security, resilience, disaster recovery, scalability, FinOps and the AWS Well-Architected Framework, while constantly seeking innovation and advancement.
• Define migration strategies for Windows and Linux estates, from discovery and wave planning through cutover and optimization. Modernize suitable workloads using Kubernetes, Docker/OCI, Helm and related technologies while embracing challenges as opportunities.
• Establish repeatable everything-as-code practices with Terraform and Ansible, as well as CI/CD and GitOps approaches using technologies such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD and Flux, demonstrating a commitment to constant progress.
• Define standards for container security, observability and operations using technologies including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Vault and policy-as-code. Act as technical authority for complex platform, networking, performance and reliability challenges.
• Advise clients on cloud strategy, architecture, risk, compliance and cost optimization. Produce architecture documentation, support proposals and estimations, and mentor engineers while maintaining a passion for personal development across the team.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:

• Shape architecture for large, complex cloud transformation and container platform programs for international clients, expanding your technical and architectural skills.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 7+ years of infrastructure/cloud experience, including 3+ years in an architect or lead role, with proven experience designing enterprise AWS architectures and leading migrations of Windows and Linux workloads. Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, security, hybrid connectivity, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on expertise with production Kubernetes and container ecosystems, including EKS and/or self-managed clusters, Docker/OCI, Helm, Kustomize, ingress, RBAC and network policies, combined with strong Infrastructure as Code expertise using Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience designing CI/CD and GitOps delivery with integrated DevSecOps controls, together with strong Linux, Bash/Python, monitoring and operational excellence skills. Ability to communicate architectural decisions to technical and executive stakeholders and mentor engineers.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Knowledge of sovereign cloud architecture, data residency, GDPR and EU requirements such as NIS2, DORA and EUCS; experience with OVHcloud, STACKIT, Scaleway, IONOS, Gaia-X, OpenStack, or encryption and key-management approaches.
• Experience with portable Kubernetes and platform technologies such as Rancher, OpenShift, Talos, k3s, Cluster API, Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, Falco, OpenTofu, Backstage or Crossplane, including multi-cloud/hybrid architectures.
• Windows automation or Windows containers, and relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, HashiCorp Terraform Authoring & Operations Professional, Red Hat Certified Architect, CKA/CKAD/CKS or TOGAF.
