German Speaking Financial Crime Auditor Job Type: Contract PAYE a day rate Location: UK-based Pay: PAYE day rate Location: London-based / On-site 3 days in office Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK Job Overview We are seeking a German Speaking Financial Crime Auditor for an immediate contract opportunity supporting a Germany Financial Crimes audit. This assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and is currently anticipated to run through 20 November 2026. This role requires a senior-level professional with strong German financial crime regulatory expertise to support audit activity, review scope completeness, identify gaps, and conduct targeted testing where additional regulatory insight is needed. Key Responsibilities Support a Germany-focused Financial Crimes audit engagement Review audit scope for completeness against German regulatory expectations Identify potential control, compliance, and audit coverage gaps Perform targeted testing in areas requiring specialist regulatory knowledge Provide subject matter expertise on German financial crime regulations and requirements Collaborate with internal audit and stakeholder teams to strengthen audit delivery Advise on regulatory considerations relevant to BaFin and broader German financial crime compliance frameworks Required Skills and Experience Strong knowledge of BaFin regulations and related Financial Crimes requirements Fluent or professional-level German language skills Experience performing or supporting regulatory audits in Germany Strong understanding of financial crime risk, controls, and regulatory expectations Ability to assess audit coverage and identify gaps in scope or testing Preferred Background Senior Auditor with financial crime and regulatory audit experience, or Deep BaFin and German regulatory subject matter expertise, even if not from a traditional audit background
