Non-Executive Director / Associate Non-Executive Director
There are moments when an opportunity comes along that offers both scale and meaning in equal measure. This is one of them.
Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust are working together in an ambitious and evolving Group model, bringing together two distinct organisations with a shared purpose: to deliver excellence in care for patients and communities. At a time of both challenge and opportunity across the NHS, this partnership is creating the conditions to improve outcomes, strengthen sustainability and reimagine how care is delivered across a diverse population.
We are seeking Non-Executive Directors and Associate Non-Executive Directors to help shape what comes next. These roles offer the chance to contribute at the highest level, providing independent challenge and support, shaping strategy and ensuring strong governance across a complex and evolving system. You will bring Board-level experience, sound judgement and the ability to balance quality, performance and financial sustainability, alongside a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for patients.
Whether your background is in finance, clinical leadership or people and organisational development, you will be passionate about diversity and inclusion and motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. You will understand the importance of collaboration, curiosity and support, recognising that impact at this level comes as much from how you lead as what you bring.
This is a rare chance to join the Boards of two NHS Trusts which are redefining how organisations can work together across boundaries, with the ambition and scale to truly transform care.
We are particularly keen to receive applications from women and candidates from global majority backgrounds, helping ensure our Boards better reflect the communities we serve. We welcome diversity of experience, perspective and background and are committed to building inclusive leadership at every level of our organisations.
