Role Overview As a Business Analyst, you will be part of a high-performing consulting team delivering data, technology and operational solutions to leading Private Equity and Private Markets organisations.

Reporting to the Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting detailed business analysis, understanding client requirements, identifying solutions to complex data and operational challenges, and producing high-quality project deliverables for senior stakeholders.

You will work closely with clients across Private Equity and Private Markets, supporting the successful delivery of consulting and technology projects. You will also have opportunities to support and mentor junior Analysts, contributing to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of Private Equity operations and fund structures to identify client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct business and process analysis to understand client challenges and translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Take increasing responsibility for project delivery, including supporting resource forecasting and project budgeting.
  • Communicate regularly with the engagement lead, providing clear project updates and escalating risks and issues where appropriate.
  • Lead or oversee the work of junior team members, ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time.
  • Own and maintain project documentation, including requirements, specifications, prototypes and testing processes.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to Analysts and Interns, setting clear expectations around delivery and quality.
  • Maintain project documentation, including risk and issue logs, mitigation plans, meeting notes, actions and deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of client presentations and Steering Committee materials.
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring effective planning, prioritisation and communication.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing through presentations, forums and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of business analysis and project delivery practices.
Key Skills & CompetenciesExperience
  • Typically 2+ years' experience in a comparable Business Analyst or consulting role.
  • Experience within financial services is preferable but not essential.
  • Exposure to Private Equity, Private Markets or investment management environments would be advantageous.
Business & Analytical Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience conducting business process analysis and documenting requirements.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of Private Equity operations would be beneficial.
Project Management
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience maintaining project plans, risk registers and issue logs.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality results.
  • Experience working within structured project delivery environments.
Technical & Data Skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.
  • Good understanding of data, systems and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and SQL would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with technology, data integrations and business systems.
  • Ability to analyse data and communicate findings clearly.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within project teams.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous.
