This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive technical professional to take ownership of the design, implementation, maintenance and security of the company's core infrastructure. You'll play a key role in ensuring the environment remains secure, reliable and scalable while contributing to ongoing improvements across the technology landscape.

- Administer Linux-based systems across the full lifecycle: provisioning, configuration, patching, hardening and decommissioning.
- Manage, maintain and improve; physical and virtual servers, containerized workloads, Linux-based email systems, web infrastructure, backup systems and disaster recovery procedures.
- Apply cyber security and data protection principles across all systems and participate in security incident response, vulnerability management, and regular security assessments.
- Build and maintain comprehensive monitoring across infrastructure, services and applications.
- Write and maintain automation scripts, primarily in Bash.
- Collaborate with Network Engineers to assist in the support and maintenance of network infrastructure with a solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
- Collaborate with development, network operations, and customer-facing teams to support service delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a systems engineering, infrastructure, or senior systems administration role in a Linux environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production, including deployment, scaling, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols.
- Thorough understanding of cyber security principles, data protection frameworks, and network security best practices.
- Strong experience with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, or similar).
- Proficiency in Nginx administration: configuration, reverse proxying, load balancing, and TLS.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, diagnose complex issues, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
Key Benefits:
- Join a highly experienced and tenured team, working alongside talented professionals with deep technical expertise.
- Take ownership of your workload and play a key role in shaping and supporting the organisation's core infrastructure.
- Enjoy genuine work-life balance with flexible working arrangements, including two days working from home each week.
