A leading South Australian university is undertaking significant transformation across its student systems environment and is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to support the ongoing enhancement, optimisation and support of critical student-facing applications.This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team working across complex enterprise systems that support the student lifecycle and broader university operations.
Your new role
As a Functional Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, product leaders, technical teams and vendors to deliver functional analysis, application support and continuous improvement initiatives.Key responsibilities include:
- Gathering and documenting business and user requirements
- Analysing current and future state business processes
- Supporting application configuration and administration activities
- Developing functional specifications, process maps and supporting documentation
- Supporting testing, defect management and release activities
- Maintaining data integrity across integrated enterprise systems
- Providing functional support and troubleshooting for business-critical applications
- Working with stakeholders to identify and deliver improvement opportunities
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong experience as a Functional Analyst, Systems Analyst or Business Analyst within complex enterprise environments
- Significant experience supporting and administering PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
- Experience gathering requirements, process modelling and documenting functional specifications
- Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows and data integrity principles
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and change initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively across business, technical and vendor teams
