This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Wintel Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role across enterprise Microsoft technologies in a modern hybrid environment. You'll work on both business-as-usual operations and strategic project delivery, helping ensure secure, resilient and highly available infrastructure supporting critical election services.

The Opportunity

Working within the Infrastructure & Operations team, you'll collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Network Engineers, System Administrators and external vendors to deliver major infrastructure initiatives while maintaining operational excellence across Microsoft platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical project work with complex BAU support, takes ownership of outcomes and thrives in enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, administer and support enterprise Windows Server infrastructure
• Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, hybrid identity, DNS, DHCP, VPN and Group Policy
• Support Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online, including mail flow, identity integration and collaboration services
• Administer SCCM/MECM including application packaging, patching, task sequences and endpoint compliance
• Provide Level 3 support across Windows Servers, endpoint technologies and Teams Rooms
• Manage PKI, certificates, encryption standards and secure communications
• Develop PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency
• Support Microsoft Defender technologies including Defender for Endpoint, Identity and Office 365
• Assist with Intune device management and hybrid endpoint governance
• Maintain backup and recovery solutions and support operational resilience
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and operational runbooks
• Participate in infrastructure projects, change management and production deployments

About You
You'll be an experienced infrastructure professional with deep Microsoft expertise and a proactive approach to enterprise operations.

You'll bring experience across:

• Enterprise Windows Server administration
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN and Group Policy
• Microsoft Entra ID, Hybrid Identity, Azure AD Connect, MFA and Conditional Access
• Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online
• SCCM/MECM administration
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• PKI, certificates, TLS and encryption technologies
• Microsoft Defender security suite
• Incident management and Level 3 troubleshooting
• Change management and ITIL/ITSM processes
• Enterprise documentation and operational governance

Highly regarded:

• Intune administration
• Veeam Backup & Recovery
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• RBAC and Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Application Control solutions such as Airlock Digital
