Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated risk management professional to join our risk management team to support risk management and investment oversight of our global asset management business. The ideal candidate will combine risk management expertise with hands-on execution to safeguard sustainable business growth and enhance cross-border risk management.

The exact grade for this position will be subject to the candidate's profile and experience. This position is located in Hong Kong.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

1. Conduct investment monitoring across diverse portfolios, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and mandate restrictions.
2. Monitor and manage comprehensive risks across market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.
3. Perform performance attribution and risk analysis for portfolios, enrich analytical tools and models.
4. Conduct ex-ante risk assessments for new projects, investment strategies, and innovative business initiatives, issuing independent risk opinions.
5. Support the construction and continuous optimization of risk management systems, and risk data governance.
6. Coordinate with HQ risk team to implement Group-level vertical risk management requirements, and ensure risk management is effectively enforced across offshore business.
7. Establish and refine daily risk monitoring, warning, and reporting mechanisms, standardizing risk escalation and disposal workflows.
8. Present regular updates to investment/risk committees on risk metrics, overall exposures, and risk events.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
2. 3+ years of risk management experience in asset management, securities firms, or financial institutions, with a solid understanding of buy-side investment risk.
3. Mandatory on-the-ground work experience physically based outside mainland China.
4. Solid knowledge of global financial instruments across fixed income, FX, equity and derivatives; good understanding of Hong Kong regulatory requirements; familiarity with Singapore asset management regulations is highly advantageous.
5. Proficiency in Bloomberg, and advanced Excel/data analysis tools; professional qualifications such as FRM or CFA are preferred.
6. Strong communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken), Cantonese is a plus.
