The Company

Our client is a leading hedge fund manager with a strong track record in long/short equity strategies. As part of their strategic expansion into the APAC region, they are seeking a seasoned Head of Fund Operations to establish and lead the operational framework for their regional funds.

The Role

• Report to COO and leading a team of 2.
• Oversee all fund operations, including daily NAV production, P&L attribution, position reconciliations, and fee calculations (management and performance fees).
• Assist in the end-to-end fund setup process for new onshore and offshore vehicles, including prime broker onboarding, legal structuring, and service provider selection.
• Manage relationships with prime brokers, administrators, custodians, and auditors to ensure seamless trade settlement, collateral management, and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely investor servicing, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and investor reporting.
• Assist with compliance oversight on an interim basis, with responsibilities to be transitioned to a dedicated Compliance Officer upon hire.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in fund operations, ideally within a hedge fund house with exposure to long/short equity strategies.
• Strong knowledge of margin mechanics, collateral management, and prime broker relationships.
• Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
