Key Areas of Responsibilities

1. As a liaison between FICC stakeholders and the IT department, focusing on the analysis and implementation of technology solutions that meet the needs of the FICC business
2. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
3. Conduct gap analyses between current and future state business processes and technology solutions.
4. Work with development managers and other colleagues to design and review technical solutions
5. Adopt new technologies and frameworks in projects
6. Support project managers by providing reliable estimates and alerting them of delays or issues as early as possible
7. Follow the processes for version control, continuous integration and release management
8. Keep record and documents on design, support, user manuals and operation procedures
9. Ensure code is covered thorough by unit tests and rigorously tested before deploying to QA or UAT
10. Coordinate with production support teams on releases and issue management

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or an IT related discipline from a prestigious institution
2. 8-10 years of relevant experience, FICC asset classes knowledge will be of advantage
3. Development skills in Java 8 or later, Python 3
4. Experience working with one of more Java frameworks (Spring/Vertx)
5. Working knowledge of unit testing frameworks and best practices
6. Experience with financial market data API’s (Bloomberg/Reuters)
7. Good to have Python and other scripting languages
8. Familiarity with Agile development artifacts and best practices.
9. Ability to mesh requirements-driven tasks and technical debt reduction tasks
10. Execellent communication skills in English. Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
11. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, good attention to detail
