Burns & McDonnell India's (BMI) Water division in Mumbai, India is seeking to hire Designers for the Mumbai Office. The water division focuses on Water (Municipal and Industrial) Projects and Chemical facilities which offer a wide range of design & project execution experience. Our talented team provides engineering & design services to support piping discipline for Water (Municipal and Industrial) Projects. To grow our team and to support upcoming projects, we are hiring experienced personnel in our piping department.

Roles & Responsibilities :

The position may include complete or partial responsibility of the following assignments:

• Advanced understanding and proficient experience of design software such as Plant 3D, Revit, S3D. Hand-on experience, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review, LFM and Excel to develop design deliverables is preferred.
• Familiar with codes and standards including ASME, API, PIP, Shell DEP etc.
• Piping modeling, equipment modeling with nozzle, Nozzle Orientation, Equipment location plan, piping arrangement etc., & accuracy checking of Input.
• Pipe Support requirement as per analysis and its support tagging, followed by back checking of same. Supporting noncritical lines by self and support tagging.
• Isometrics extraction and independent self-check/ Quality Review, IFC isometric checking & its documentation.
• Position may require interface and coordination with other engineering disciplines, designers in Mumbai office as well as various remote offices in the United States.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 12th Pass /Professional piping drafting completed from an accredited program

Experience:

• Experience of 10-20 years
• Experience of executing Water projects (detail design) based on ASME B31.3, ANSI/NEMA and other international codes and standards.

Critical Skills:

• Demonstrate Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building and collaboration
• Must be having Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Capability of solving design problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria's
• Provide training and mentoring to less experienced designers and team members.
• Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
