The Governance Monitoring Apprentice will support the Governance Monitoring team in enhancing and maintaining analytics and control frameworks within the KYC / EDD program. This role is designed for a candidate with strong data and technical skills who is interested in applying automation, data analysis, and visualization techniques to improve control monitoring and reporting processes.

The Governance Monitoring Apprentice will support the Governance Monitoring team in enhancing and maintaining analytics and control frameworks within the KYC / EDD program. This role is designed for a candidate with strong data and technical skills who is interested in applying automation, data analysis, and visualization techniques to improve control monitoring and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, automation, and maintenance of analytics and controls for the KYC / EDD program to ensure systems and processes operate as designed.
- Assist in building and optimizing dashboards and reporting solutions to enhance monitoring efficiency and visibility for stakeholders.
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using SQL and Python to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the automation of manual controls and reporting processes to improve scalability and reduce operational effort.
- Partner with the Governance Monitoring team to support ongoing report development and enhancements in collaboration with GFCC Reporting, GRC Product, Technology teams, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in designing and documenting control frameworks and oversight processes in coordination with Risk & Control Self-Assessment teams and business process owners.
- Support the preparation of reports summarizing monitoring results, key risks, and actionable insights.
- Participate in initiatives related to platform modernization and transition of new workflows into the team.
Qualifications
- Recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in risk, compliance, governance, or financial services is a plus.
