Your Role

Our Global Finance team is seeking to appoint a seasoned and well qualified Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our India office. This is a Key Management Person (KMP) role with responsibility for leading the local finance function and fulfilling applicable regulatory requirements. The role is internally aligned to the Finance Manager position.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the local Finance team which includes the Life/Health Client Accounting team
• Financial management including providing financial insights in driving and supporting business strategy, sustainable growth and cash flow and capital efficiency management
• Manage financial reporting and management reporting
• Provide reliable and accurate financial information to both internal and external stakeholders
• Manage and ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and tax reporting
• Work with responsible person/s for investment management, including associated risk management and compliance
• Oversee capital adequacy, solvency monitoring and capital planning
• Liaison with Head Office Tax function and external tax agents and local tax authorities; and be familiar with tax developments in India and its implications to our business
• Establish and maintain effective communication with external authorities
• Provide effective and efficient management of office facilities and HR-related on-site/administrative support
• Participatein regional and international initiatives and projects

Your Profile

• Degree qualified and/or other recognized professional accounting qualifications (CA, CPA, ACCA)
• At least 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience in an insurance or reinsurance company
• Working knowledge of local financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements particularly relating to insurance/reinsurance industry
• Experience in IFRS17 is an advantage
• Working knowledge of SAP preferred
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Astrong leader and team player
