Assistant Accountant



We are working a leading manufacturing company in North Dublin who are hiring an Assistant Accountant to join their team
. This role is initially on a temporary basis with a view to extension and requires an immediate start



Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will support the day-to-day finance function and gain broad exposure across financial and management accounting.




Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close and management accounts


• Bank, balance sheet and supplier reconciliations


• Accounts payable and receivable


• Process invoices, payments and journals


• Assist with VAT and other statutory returns


• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting


• Assist with audit and year-end activities


• Provide general support to the finance team

Key Skills

• 2+ years' experience in a a similar role


• Part-qualified or working towards a qualification desirable not essential


• Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail
