Our client, a well-established and growing property business based in Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to join their small and friendly team. This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day accounts function while also getting involved in general office administration. The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping the business's financial and administrative processes running smoothly.




Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities for the business


• Raising, processing and issuing customer and supplier invoices


• Recording and processing purchase and sales invoices


• Processing payments and maintaining accurate accounting records


• Bank reconciliations


• Processing expenses and maintaining supporting documentation


• Assisting with VAT returns and other routine tax-related requirements


• Liaising with suppliers, customers, tenants and other stakeholders regarding accounts and invoices


• Assisting with month-end bookkeeping and reporting


• Maintaining organised electronic and paper-based records


• General office administration and filing


• Assisting with correspondence, emails and general queries


• Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administrative and finance-related duties as required

Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years' relevant bookkeeping/accounts experience


• Accounting Technician qualification would be an advantage


• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel


• Experience using an accounting package such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar


• Knowledge of Irish VAT and general bookkeeping practices


• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail


• Professional and confident when dealing with suppliers and other stakeholders


• IT literate with good Excel skills


• A good communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
