Finance Director, Indigenous Manufacturing Group, Midlands

Our client is a high profile Irish Manufacturing business operating from multiple sites across Ireland. They would be viewed as best in class in the specialist sector in which they operate. Over the last number of years, they have had exceptional growth both organically and by acquisition. They wish to hire a Finance Director to join their leadership team. The company has an ambitious growth strategy, and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the business.

Position: Finance Director (new position)

Acting as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and wider leadership team, the role is both hands-on and strategic. The FD will drive financial strategy, operational and commercial insight, reporting excellence and PE compliance. The role will involve

• Supporting the leadership team to develop a strategic 3 year plan
• Coach and mentor the existing leadership team to evelate strategic capabilities and drive accountability
• Leading and developing a large finance team
• Review and improve reporting to deliver high quality board packs
• Review and integrate finance teams
• Providing the leadership team with key KPI data and recommended actions
• Develop and improve FP&A
• Own end-to-end financial reporting
• Mergers & acquisitions - key participant
• Corporate governance
• Continuous monitoring and improvement of systems, processes and internal controls

Other key responsibilities

As head of a key division within the business, the Finance Director will participate in companywide business initiatives and projects with a view to increasing revenue, profitability and market share. As part of the wider leadership team, they will have the opportunity to participate in a range of internal committees and will have the opportunity to influence the firm's future direction.

Who will the role suit?

The candidate should have a number of years' experience at a senior finance level within a high growth medium to large business, preferably FMCG / Manufacturing. They should have demonstrated skills in finance transformation, reorganization and driving change. Acquisition experience would be desirable. They should have a track record of problem solving and be capable of influencing decisions that add value.
