Collections, Process & Performance Analyst

Location: Dublin | Hybrid working, 1 day per week in the office.

The Job

The Collections Process & Performance Analyst is responsible for delivering data-driven insight, operational process ownership and continuous improvement across the end-to-end payments and collections lifecycle. The role supports effective credit management across commercial, residential and services products. The role is focused on improving collection performance, reducing arrears and bad debt exposure, optimising payment and collections processes, strengthening vendor and KPI governance, and ensuring robust audit trails and measurable benefit realisation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Analyse payments and collections data to identify trends, risks, root causes and improvement opportunities for collection, cure rates, ageing arrears, and payment success rates,
  • Implement new processes and process enhancements to reduce bad debt, improve collections performance and payment outcomes, embedding benefit measurement.
  • Drive automation opportunities across payment and collections processes, including reporting.
  • Support and deliver change initiatives, ensuring changes are clearly defined, controlled and aligned to business priorities.
  • Support and help manage the end-to-end collections processes across commercial, residential and services products.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance accurate, timely and insightful KPI reporting.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal operational teams, Finance, Risk, Business Intelligence and external agencies/vendors.
  • Support the development and refinement of bad debt provisioning methodologies and related performance measures.
  • Support governance and control expectations for write-off, refund and disconnection processes.

Skills & Experience:
  • Strong understanding of collections, payments and credit risk principles.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end collections processes across commercial, residential and services products.
  • Knowledge of write-off, refund, disconnection and third-party agency processes.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, KPI reporting and performance optimisation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, modelling and data manipulation.
  • Experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools.
  • Understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, automation and operational control design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to translate data, operational evidence and stakeholder feedback into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Good decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise risks, actions and improvement opportunities.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
