ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY



This role is expected to contribute actively to the development of corporate strategy by translating market, customer, and competitive insights into clear priorities and recommendations. It requires preparing high-quality materials for Board, CEO, and senior leadership discussions, including strategic reviews and investment decisions. The role should provide forward-looking market and competitive intelligence to identify risks, opportunities, and implications for SES's portfolio, positioning, and capital allocation. It is also expected to lead or support cross-functional strategic initiatives, evaluate new growth opportunities, and contribute to capital investment and M&A activities through structured analysis and recommendations.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS





  • Act as a key stakeholder in developing corporate strategy by translating market, customer, and competitive insights into clear strategic priorities.

  • Prepare Board-, CEO-, and SLT-level materials for Strategy Days, strategic reviews, investment discussions, and executive decision-making.

  • Monitor industry dynamics, competitor strategies, and market shifts to build forward-looking views on risks, opportunities, and long-term growth implications.

  • Translate market and competitive intelligence into implications for SES's portfolio, positioning, product strategy, and capital allocation.

  • Evaluate adjacent markets, new technologies, and emerging business models to support diversification and new growth opportunities.

  • Lead or support cross-functional strategic initiatives across Commercial, Product, Technology, Finance, Fleet, and Corporate Development.

  • Act as an integrator by aligning stakeholders, driving progress, ensuring clear outputs and decisions, and developing investment theses for growth areas.

  • Support capital investment and M&A activity through strategic positioning, investment evaluation, commercial due diligence, and structured leadership recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE





  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in strategy, market intelligence, corporate development, consulting, telecommunications, space, or related industries.

  • Good understanding of the telecommunications ecosystem, networking technologies, connectivity services, and business models

  • Solid grounding in market research, competitive intelligence, and industry analysis techniques

  • Proficiency in leveraging AI, advanced analytics, and business intelligence tools to conduct market analysis, develop financial and industry models, build executive dashboards, and generate actionable strategic insights

  • Fluency in spoken, written Business English is essential; additional languages a plus
