As a Building Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in managing, maintaining and optimizing Building Management Systems (BMS) across the Shell portfolio in The Hague. Working with advanced automation and control technologies, you will help ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently and sustainably while supporting Shell's operational and environmental goals. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in Building Automation, Building Management Systems (BMS/GBS) or Measurement & Control Technology (Meet- en Regeltechniek). As a Building Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in managing, maintaining and optimizing Building Management Systems (BMS) across the Shell portfolio in The Hague. Working with advanced automation and control technologies, you will help ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently and sustainably while supporting Shell's operational and environmental goals. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in Building Automation, Building Management Systems (BMS/GBS) or Measurement & Control Technology (Meet- en Regeltechniek). You will join CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services team and work alongside technical specialists, contractors and client stakeholders to deliver innovative and future-ready solutions.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Manage, maintain and optimize Building Management Systems (BMS) and building automation platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to HVAC, climate control and building systems.
- Support commissioning, system modifications and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, system reliability and occupant comfort.
- Work with industry-leading technologies including Siemens, Priva, Honeywell, KNX, BACnet and Modbus-based systems.
- Support the development of smarter, more connected and sustainable buildings.
What We're Looking For:
- MBO 4 or HBO work and thinking level, gained through education and/or relevant professional experience.
- A technical background in Building Automation, Measurement & Control Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS/GBS), HVAC controls, industrial automation or smart building technologies.
- Knowledge of platforms such as Siemens, Priva, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, KNX, BACnet or Modbus is highly desirable.
- A proactive and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently while building effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a strong advantage.
