Your role

Do you have solid compliance knowledge and feel you can still do more in the field? Can you investigate complex problems? We are looking for a control Analyst for our Monitoring & Surveillance (M&S) EMEA Team to:

• Conduct cross-divisional controls to identify potential issues under the Investment Suitability, Cross-Border, and Product & Service Lifecycle risk taxonomies, promptly escalating potential breaches to M&S management.
• Document and communicate findings, root causes, risks, and prepare reports for senior management.
• Develop sound recommendations for stakeholders when agreeing action plans.
• Proactively share ideas and identify improvements to the surveillance control activities.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, senior management, and peers across GCORC.

Your team

You'll be working within the Monitoring & Surveillance EMEA Team in Kraków/Wroclaw, specializing in Investment Suitability, Products & Services and Cross Border Surveillance risks and controls. M&S is an independent function within the 2nd line of defense supporting GCRG in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We collaborate with many internal stakeholders such as Front Office staff, Business Risk Management, Local Business Aligned Compliance, Taxonomy Owners and Conduct Specialists.

Your expertise

• 2 years+ experience in compliance, audit, or risk functions, with a strong understanding of risks and controls.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing abilities.
• Able to work effectively both in a team setting and independently.
• Skilled at managing a varied workload and meeting multiple deadlines.
• Quick to grasp complex processes and willing to challenge the status quo, proactively identifying procedural risks and shortcomings.
• Able to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
