Tasks & Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution (70%)
- Establish project governance structures and implementation frameworks.
- Create and maintain integrated project schedules, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
- Coordinate activities across laboratory automation, engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, and functional teams.
- Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate milestone reviews, capacity reviews, and governance discussions.
- Conduct critical path analyses and scenario planning to support business decisions.
- Ensure transparency and alignment across all stakeholders.
- Support effective project and product lifecycle management activities.
- Act as central coordination point for project-related information and reporting.
Agile Delivery & Organizational Excellence (30%)
- Coach teams on project methodologies and Agile best practices.
- Support SAFe and Hybrid delivery models where applicable.
- Define and report KPIs, OKRs, and project performance indicators.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across project teams.
- Promote best-practice sharing and knowledge transfer within project management communities.
- Collaborate with portfolio management, finance, analytics, and functional departments.
- Support portfolio-level planning and organizational decision-making processes.
- Contribute to strengthening project management standards and operational excellence across the organization.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of project management experience within laboratory automation, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or related industries.
- Proven experience in Lab Automation environments.
- Strong technical understanding of Biochemistry and Chemistry applications.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical development projects involving automation systems, instrumentation, or laboratory workflows.
- Strong expertise in Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and Hybrid project methodologies.
- Hands-on experience using project management software such as Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Planisware, Jira, or comparable tools.
- Practical experience with project planning, budgeting, resource management, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and leadership capabilities.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience within Diagnostics, Medical Devices, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare Technology industries.
- Exposure to laboratory robotics, automated instrumentation, or integrated diagnostic systems.
- Knowledge of portfolio management frameworks and governance processes.
- Understanding of regulated development environments and quality processes.
- German language skills.
- Experience managing geographically distributed international teams.
- PMP, Prince2, AgilePM, SAFe, Scrum Master, or comparable certifications.
