Fletcher George is delighted to be representing a successful, privately owned Group with growing operations across the UK and Europe, including Belgium, Poland and Germany.



This newly created role offers the opportunity to join a growing finance team and take ownership of European VAT compliance, multi-currency accounting and financial reporting across several businesses.

The Role

• Preparing quarterly VAT returns across European jurisdictions.


• Managing high-volume, multi-currency transactions.


• Advising on VAT treatment of imports and cross-border transactions.


• Supporting statutory reporting, financial controls and UK payroll.


• Working with Xero and liaising with colleagues and advisers across Europe.


• Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses.

About You



We are keen to hear from qualified or part-qualified Accountants from industry or practice, including those with outsourcing or international client experience.



European VAT experience is highly desirable, particularly involving cross-border transactions. Strong Financial Accountants with international or multi-currency experience who are keen to develop their VAT knowledge will also be considered.



Additional European language skills are important. Business-level German, Polish, Dutch or Flemish would be particularly advantageous, alongside strong written and verbal English.




Location : Leatherhead, Surrey, commutable from Epsom, Dorking, Esher, Guildford, Cobham, Reigate and surrounding areas.
