Location: Filton, Broad Oak - Portsmouth , hybrid - 3 days on site 2 working from home - this role might include travel to other BAE Southern siter




Salary: Up to £60,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:



The Project Manager - Hybrid Navy will play a critical role in delivering innovative projects that support the Royal Navy's future Hybrid Navy vision. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager , you'll lead the planning, execution and control of technology demonstrators, concept studies, experimentation activities and customer-funded initiatives that are shaping the next generation of maritime capability. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on project leadership with emerging technologies, working at the forefront of maritime autonomy , digital transformation and future naval operations.




Core duties:

• Lead the delivery of Hybrid Navy projects, taking full accountability for cost, schedule, quality and performance while ensuring successful outcomes for customers and stakeholders.


• Act as Control Account Manager (CAM), managing project budgets, forecasts, risks, opportunities and financial performance to achieve delivery objectives .


• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management and Business Development to drive project success and innovation.


• Support the development of future Hybrid Navy opportunities through customer engagement, bid support, planning activities and the delivery of technology demonstrators and capability development projects.

Essential skills:

• Proven project management experience within defence, engineering, technology or complex systems environments, with responsibility for cost, schedule and delivery performance.


• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance and controls , including experience managing risks, budgets, stakeholders and integrated project plans.


• Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across matrix organisations and multidisciplinary teams
