We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Solution Architect to play a key role in the transformation and optimisation of a global finance technology landscape. This is a highly visible role requiring deep expertise across Workday Financials, Prism Analytics, Accounting Center, Reporting, and Finance Data Architecture.

The successful candidate will combine hands-on delivery experience with strong architectural leadership, helping shape future-state solutions whilst remaining close to the detail of design, build, reporting, integrations, and production support.

This role is ideal for someone who has successfully delivered Workday Prism and Accounting Center solutions end-to-end, can confidently challenge solution designs, and enjoys working closely with both Finance and Technology stakeholders to drive best-practice outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of solutions across Workday Financials, Prism Analytics, Accounting Center and Reporting.

• Design end-to-end finance data flows from source systems through Prism and Accounting Center into Workday Financials.

• Build, enhance and support Prism data pipelines, datasets and reporting solutions.

• Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.

• Provide architectural leadership across finance data, reporting, integrations and accounting processes.

• Review and challenge designs produced by implementation partners, ensuring alignment with business and architectural objectives.

• Troubleshoot complex production issues across reporting, Prism, integrations and finance processes.

• Act as an escalation point for support and AMS teams on complex Workday use cases.

• Lead workshops, discovery sessions and solution design activities.

• Produce architecture artefacts including solution blueprints, data flow diagrams, integration specifications and technical designs.

• Identify architecture gaps, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Support delivery across the full project lifecycle, from discovery and design through to testing, go-live and post-production support.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience across Workday Financial Management.

• Proven hands-on expertise with Workday Prism Analytics.

• Proven experience implementing Workday Accounting Center.

• Strong Workday Reporting experience, including:

  • Advanced Reports

  • Composite Reports

  • Calculated Fields

  • Dashboards

  • RaaS

• Experience designing and building Prism data pipelines and datasets.

• Strong understanding of finance data architecture, reconciliation and reporting.

• Experience resolving production issues and supporting live Workday environments.

• Proven ability to design and document end-to-end data flows and solution architectures.

• Experience leading discovery workshops and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

• Full lifecycle implementation experience from design through go-live and support.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to challenge and influence implementation partners and third-party vendors.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within Financial Services, Insurance or other regulated environments.

• Experience integrating Workday with wider finance, ERP and enterprise platforms.

• Knowledge of Workday Studio, EIBs, APIs and integration frameworks.

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.

• Experience with finance transformation, data governance and enterprise reporting initiatives.

• Relevant Workday certifications across Financials, Prism Analytics and/or Accounting Center.
