The Technical Developer / Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, development, implementation, and support of Compliance and Financial Crime technology solutions. This role partners with Compliance, Operations, Risk Management, and Technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and effective solutions supporting sanctions screening, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) screening, adverse media monitoring, and regulatory compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business, regulatory, and operational requirements and translate them into technical solution designs.
• Configure, develop, implement, test, and support LexisNexis compliance products, including sanctions screening, PEP screening, and adverse media solutions.
• Support implementation and ongoing maintenance of AI model using current AI capabilities.
• Perform system configuration, data mapping, workflow design, rules tuning, and alert management to improve screening effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Design and develop integrations, APIs, data feeds, and automated processes between compliance platforms and enterprise applications.
• Conduct technical analysis, root cause investigations, defect resolution, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to implement technology enhancements and platform upgrades.
• Support system testing activities including SIT, UAT, performance testing, and production deployments.
• Ensure solutions comply with internal controls, security standards, regulatory requirements, and data governance policies.
• Produce technical documentation, design artifacts, implementation plans, and operational support procedures.
• Work some off hours as demanded by projects, operations, and need of the onshore team and stakeholders, such as release, testing and/or critical bug resolutions.
• Provide US/EMEA overnight support on critical processes such as interface and data feed jobs, reports, etc. in a follow the sun model, and able to address tickets escalated by L1/L2 teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in application development, systems implementation, technical configuration, and support within financial services, compliance technology, AML, or financial crime environments.
• 7-10 years of experience analyzing, designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting compliance and screening solutions.
• Hands-on experience with LexisNexis sanctions screening, PEP screening, adverse media, and related compliance technology platforms.
• Strong technical expertise in SQL, data analysis, data mapping, ETL processes, API integrations, AI development, Python, system troubleshooting, and application support.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale technology solutions and system integrations.
• Solid understanding of sanctions compliance, watchlist screening, customer and entity screening, adverse media monitoring, and false-positive reduction methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile and SDLC delivery frameworks, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and production support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LexisNexis Firco Continuity, Firco Trust, Bridger, World-Check, or related financial crime compliance platforms.
• Knowledge of OFAC, sanctions regulations, AML, KYC, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures, data analytics platforms, and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.

Salary Range:
$88,900 - 151,100 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
