Existing Business Trading Underwriter - Property & Liability

This is a great job for someone who is an experienced Property and Liability underwriter and enjoys balancing technical underwriting with strong broker and customer relationships. If you're comfortable working independently within delegated authority, while collaborating on more complex risks, this role offers the chance to directly support profitable growth and great customer outcomes.

A bit about the job:

You'll join Aviva's Existing Business team, where we focus on delivering tailored underwriting solutions that support profitable growth and long-term customer relationships.
In this role, you'll underwrite Property and Liability business within agreed guidelines, manage your own portfolio, and build strong relationships with brokers and customers.
You'll work autonomously within your authority, collaborating with colleagues when needed on more complex cases, and your work will directly support Aviva's customer-first strategy.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Proven experience in Property and Liability underwriting
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain broker and customer relationships
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage time effectively while handling your own portfolio
• Good knowledge of FCA requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Experience working in a large, complex organisation

• Salary : £35K-£50K (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
