About your team

As Fidelity International continues to broaden the capabilities and services it offers to clients, it is vital that the firm enhances and builds on its reputation as a leading investment and retirement business. The Corporate Affairs team is critical in supporting this with effective communication to internal and external stakeholders.

This Assistant Manager role sits within the internal communications team, which is responsible for a comprehensive communications service ensuring that all employees are connected, engaged, and effectively informed about the company's overall strategy and key activity.

The team provides a critical role internally in leading and steering messaging on significant corporate initiatives and advising the business at the highest level. The team works with the most senior leaders within the business who are actively involved in helping us shape and deliver the employee communications strategy.

This role is based out of the London office at 4 Cannon Street and will have a global focus, working closely with teams across geographies and across FIL.

About your role

This role holder supports the development and execution of global internal communications strategies and plans across our four key business pillars: Asset Management, Distribution, FIL Platforms (which includes technology, change, operations and delivery), and Corporate Functions (including Chief People Office, General Counsel & Internal Audit, and Chief Finance Office).

We are looking for someone who has excellent written English, and who can think creatively in terms of storytelling and delivering key messages and narratives across various channels including the corporate intranet, digital signage and Viva Engage. The role holder will support the team to define, manage and execute various aspects of internal communications activity, and will collaborate cross the various business pillars to provide a coordinated and complementary overall communications plan.

Primary responsibilities

• Helping to deliver internal communications plans to drive forward a range of initiatives and activities across the four business pillars.

• Supporting the internal communications team with logistical, administrative and operational tasks to deliver the relevant communications plans.

• Supporting with defining and consistently communicating our business objectives, initiatives, and priorities.

• Assisting with driving communications that are focused on quality, timeliness, engagement, creativity and innovation.

• Creating various communications materials using tools such as Canva, Poppulo and SharePoint and the whole Microsoft Office 365 suite.

• Helping to deliver insight and feedback reports and performance measures, to continuously improve engagement and communications.

• Building strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders across the different business areas.

About you

We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual able to play a supporting role in delivering internal communications within Fidelity International. You will have:

• A passion for employee experience, communications and engagement.

• Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work closely and effectively with other team members as required in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.

• Highly organised and able to prioritise in a fast paced, matrix management environment.

• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management skills, with the ability to form positive relationships with colleagues across all departments.

• Be able to bring fresh, creative thinking to employee communications, proactively identifying new and innovative ways to engage colleagues and applying outside-in ideas and best practice to continually evolve our approach.

• Ideally some knowledge of the financial services industry.

• Ability to understand complex and multi-year programme transformations and connect strategy with operating models.

• Excellent writing, communication and analytical skills with superior attention to detail.
