A leading international commodities and energy trading organisation is seeking a Renewable Fuels Originator to join its growing environmental markets team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional to play a key role in expanding renewable fuels trading activities across Europe, working directly with producers, customers, and internal trading teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing renewable fuels offtake opportunities, building long-term industry relationships, and supporting the growth of a dynamic and rapidly evolving business.

• Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with renewable fuel producers and customers across Europe.
• Identify, negotiate, and secure both short-term and long-term renewable fuels opportunities.
• Analyse European and global biofuels markets to uncover commercial opportunities and market trends.
• Structure transactions that contribute positively to business profitability while operating within established risk parameters.
• Manage commercial agreements through the full approval and execution process.
• Collaborate with trading, risk, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful deal execution.
• Support renewable certificate management, inventory monitoring, and position reporting.
• Monitor regulatory developments and evolving market structures across European environmental markets.
• Contribute to business transformation initiatives and support the expansion of renewable fuels activities.

We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess:

• Experience within commodities, energy, or environmental markets.
• A commercial, origination, trading, risk management, or business development background.
• Strong understanding of power, gas, biofuels, renewable fuels, or environmental certificate markets.
• Knowledge of European transport, heating, maritime, and environmental legislation.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Experience with Python, R, Power BI, or other data analytics tools would be advantageous.
• A university degree or equivalent qualification.
• Additional European language skills would be beneficial.
