At TLT, we are looking to speak with Interim Commercial Contracts Lawyers for opportunities to work with leading organisations in the renewable energy sector, usually on an initial 6-month contract basis.

While remote working will be considered, our clients have a strong preference for secondees to spend time in the office, so being based in Glasgow, Edinburgh or London, and being able to attend the office regularly is preferable.

The contract will be on a day rate basis and via Umbrella company.

Your Role

• Reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, confidentiality agreements, route-to-market agreements and a range of intercompany agreements.
• Supporting and advising on internal approval and governance processes.
• Providing legal advice to internal teams on existing contractual arrangements, both independently and alongside external advisers where required.
• Supporting the in-house legal team on M&A and other transactional matters, and strategic projects.
• Advising on legal responsibilities, obligations and rights across a range of commercial matters.
• Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
• Working closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment on contractual and strategic issues.

Your Skills and Experience

• Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered)
• Experience in commercial contracts, or a corporate background with strong commercial exposure.
• Ideally, experience working within or advising clients in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong technical ability, particularly in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on complex contractual arrangements.
• A motivated self-starter who enjoys working closely with business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a commercial, solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and provide pragmatic legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
