An established global financial institution is looking to expand its Emerging Markets Commodities business with the appointment of an experienced Cross-Commodity Sales professional.
This role will focus on developing relationships with emerging-market clients and delivering tailored hedging, execution and investment solutions across the commodities portfolio. The successful candidate must bring strong coverage of base and/or precious metals, alongside the ability to identify opportunities across energy and agricultural markets.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with corporates, trading houses, producers, financial institutions and institutional investors across emerging markets.
- Originate and execute commodity transactions across metals, energy and agricultural products.
- Lead client coverage across base and/or precious metals.
- Deliver tailored risk-management and hedging solutions using futures, options, swaps and structured products.
- Provide clients with pricing, market insight and relevant trade ideas.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across the wider commodities platform.
- Work closely with Trading, Structuring, Research, Credit and Risk teams.
- Develop new client relationships and increase revenue from existing accounts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commodity sales within a bank, brokerage, trading house or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of base metals and/or precious metals markets.
- An established network of corporate or institutional clients across emerging markets.
- Experience selling commodity hedging, execution or investment solutions.
- Good understanding of futures, options, swaps and structured products.
- Demonstrable record of generating revenue and developing client relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work across multiple commodity products and regions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
