Head of Investor Relations - Austin, TX

An alternative investment management firm is seeking a senior Investor Relations professional to join the team as a Head of Investor Relations. This individual will partner closely with the firm's existing fundraising leader, serving as the primary driver of investor servicing, communications, and relationship management efforts while remaining active in business development and investor engagement activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with both institutional investors and private wealth channels, along with a strong background in investor communications, client management, fundraising support, and capital formation.

The Head of Investor Relations will be responsible for:
* Serve as a senior relationship manager for existing institutional and private wealth investors.
* Lead ongoing investor communications, including quarterly letters, investor updates, presentations, and marketing materials.
* Manage investor servicing efforts, including due diligence requests, reporting inquiries, and ad hoc information requests.
* Partner with investment and executive leadership teams to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent investor communications.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with current investors while identifying opportunities for deeper engagement.
* Represent the firm at conferences, industry events, annual meetings, and investor meetings.
* Support fundraising and capital formation initiatives alongside the firm's lead business development professional.
* Develop and refine investor-facing presentations, fundraising materials, and thought leadership content.
* Help drive the firm's overall investor relations, marketing, and communication strategy.
* Act as a visible ambassador for the firm and maintain a consistent presence within the allocator community.

The Head of Investor Relations should have:
* Significant experience within Investor Relations, Capital Formation, Investor Services, Client Relations, or Fundraising.
* Existing relationships across institutional investors, consultants, family offices, RIAs, and other private wealth channels.
* Strong background managing investor communications, reporting processes, and ongoing client relationships.
* Experience creating and overseeing marketing materials, investor presentations, quarterly letters, and fundraising content.
* A blend of relationship management and business development capabilities.
* Ability to communicate effectively with sophisticated investors and stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational and project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
* An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to operate in a highly collaborative environment.
* Willingness to travel regularly for conferences, investor meetings, and relationship-building initiatives.
