Rachel Dowdall has joined Radix as a quantitative researcher in London. She spent the past seven years as head of research at systematic trading firm Tyler Capital, which employed 24 people in 2024 and generated £3.8m in profit in that period. Dowdall also spent three years as a quant at hedge fund Winton, and spent her earlier career in academia. Radix only appears to have one other UK-based employee who joined at an unclear point in 2024.
Radix had ~150 employees globally back in November but has since upped those numbers to ~170 according to recent job listings. It has around 20 employees in its Amsterdam office, but recent hires have been at graduate and junior levels. Listings also suggest that it's less focused on pure low-latency strategies these days, saying that "trading based on sheer speed of execution might have reached its limit," and is instead focused on gaining an edge via statistical research.
'Radix Trading Europe B.V.' was previously registered under the FCA, passporting via its Amsterdam office, but lost its authorization at the end of 2020 for unclear reasons.
Radix did not respond to a request for comment.
