HSBC trader who left for a hedge fund quickly joins his old boss at a US bank
Some banks are relocating macro traders from Paris to London. Bank of America, which has one of the largest fixed income trading floors in Paris is not known to be doing this. Instead, BofA has been hiring in the French capital. And its new hires are making recruits of their own.

Three months ago, Bank of America hired Blaise Prevoteau, HSBC's co-head of European debt trading. Prevoteau, who spent over 20 years at HSBC, joined Bofa as the Paris based head of European government bond trading.
Prevoteau has now hired a junior HSBC colleague who joined a hedge fund for two years.
We understand that Samuele Grosso has joined BofA in Paris. Grosso spent a brief nine months with Prevoteau at HSBC before going to Taula Capital in Milan, where he worked with ex-Citi MD and star trader Matteo Sardeo. At BofA, Grosso will be working with Prevoteau once again.
Taula and BofA declined to comment. Grosso didn't respond to a request to comment.
Grosso's return to banking is a possible sign that hedge fund jobs aren't always ideal for junior traders. Either that, or he wanted to work in Paris instead of Milan.
