Credit Suisse markets people are still finding new jobs, 1.5 years later
Given that UBS acquired Credit Suisse more than 18 months ago – and announced it colossal cuts program not long after – you might have supposed that most managing directors (MDs) at the firm would have left for greener pastures a long time ago. That hasn’t been the case.

Mike Bridger spent 14 years at Credit Suisse, most recently as an MD and the bank’s head of US rates repo and collateral optimization, based in New York. He joined SMBC earlier this week as head of its secured financing operation in the city.
A year and a half after the UBS acquisition, Credit Suisse stragglers are still showing up in roles at other banks. 97% of the bank’s former markets professionals have disappeared, with some going to UBS to unwind the non-core and legacy unit, and more going to Deutsche Bank and HSBC among others both this year and last.
