Nomura made another big hire for its Singapore macro team
Nomura's Singapore macro franchise is in a state of flux. Some big names (Anshu Sidher, Herr-Ling Yeo) are supposed to be arriving but have not done so, yet. Others are turning up instead.

The imminent arrivals are understood to include Raghav Joshi, a senior G10 FX trader who was last seen at Santander. Joshi didn't respond to a request to comment and Nomura declined to comment but we have it on good authority that he is on his way.
Joshi could find himself in familiar company. Before he joined Santander in August 2024, he was at BNP and before joined BNP he was at ANZ. Sidher and Ling Yeo were at ANZ at the same time.
Nomura has made other major hires this year too. For example, Aleksander Ganchev arrived from Standard Chartered in London in March and is reportedly expanding the bank's bullion trading business, with more hires expected.
